The year has started out with most of the movement among the leadership ranks happening among high-growth indies. On the conglomerate side, Boots CEO Ornella Barra has stepped down. And Aïda Moudachirou-Rébois is the latest executive to leave The Estée Lauder Company since Stéphane de La Faverie has taken the helm.Boots Chief Executive Officer Ornella Barra is stepping down from her role after leading the British health and beauty retailer for almost 10 years. Barra will transition to Chair of the Board, replacing Stefano Pessina, and will take oversight of the company’s ESG agenda.Aïda Moudachirou-Rébois, MAC Cosmetics' Senior Vice President and Global General Manager, is stepping down from the post she assumed in 2024.Elemis co-founder and Chief Product & Sustainability Officer Oriele Frank is leaving the brand after 33 years. Frank has held key roles in the business, including Chief Marketing Officer, Managing Director, and, since October 2020, Chief Product & Sustainability Officer. She will continue advising, mentoring, and inspiring brands and entrepreneurs on their own journeys, while championing the idea that business can be a force for good.Alicia Valencia has stepped down as Global President of Makeup by Mario after helping scale the brand from launch to a global business valued at more than $200 million. Valencia cited personal reasons for her exit. She previously held senior roles at Pat McGrath Labs, Bobbi Brown, and The Estée Lauder Companies.Following the acquisition by The Bansk Group in 2025, Byoma named Tara Loftis Global President and Chief Brand Officer.
